Terms of Use

These terms apply to the Tish the Fish app and website, offered by Nik Lorbeg, Slovenia (support@tishthefish.com). By using the app you agree to them.

1. Your licence

The app is licensed to you, not sold, under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Standard EULA"). These terms explain a few things specific to Tish the Fish. They don't take away any rights you have under the Standard EULA or under the law.

2. What the app does

Tish the Fish helps you notice and cut down the time you spend in apps you choose, by turning it into a virtual fish tank and, through Apple's Screen Time, blocking those apps while the tank is empty or a focus session runs. It's a tool for motivation. Blocking depends on Apple's Screen Time and on your settings, and you can always lift it, for example by unblocking in the app, turning off the Screen Time permission or deleting the app. Don't rely on it where access to an app is essential. It isn't a medical or therapeutic product, and it isn't a parental-control tool.

3. Your fish

Fish, water, streaks and everything else in the tank are part of a game. They have no monetary value, can't be transferred or exchanged, and live only on your device, so they're gone if you delete the app. We may adjust how the game works in updates.

4. Fair use

Please use the app and website only for their intended, lawful purpose. Don't try to break, overload or misuse them, and don't copy, modify or distribute the app except as the law or the Standard EULA allows. The name Tish the Fish, its fish, artwork, sounds and texts are protected by copyright.

5. Price and purchases

The app is currently free. If we add paid features, they'll be sold through Apple's App Store, and Apple's terms apply to payment, subscriptions, cancellation and refunds. We'll show the price and what you get clearly before you buy.

6. Updates and availability

We work to keep the app reliable and may update, change or improve it over time. We can't promise it will always be available or free of errors, and we may stop offering it in the future. Your statutory rights are not affected.

7. Liability

We are liable without limitation for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence, and for injury to life, body or health. Otherwise, as far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect damage such as lost data, lost time or missed messages caused by blocking. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.

8. Applicable law

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Slovenia. If you're a consumer living in the EU, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence and can bring claims before the courts there.

9. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that matters to you, we'll let you know in the app before the changes take effect.
